The Future of CHS Stone: Expansion & Sustainability
Future
The past 40 years the Stone Industry has seen some very dynamic changes. It would best be described as faster, better and cleaner. This translates to Lean, Mean and Green. Quarries and Stone factories are now extracting blocks and fabricating stone slabs with the latest high tech machinery than anyone could ever have imagined previously. As a company We have survived the Great Recession ,trade wars and all the challenges of running a multinational small business. Yet, all of us at CHS Stone, Thomas, Maggie, Mr. Wang, Vicky and Jolin are confident that our best years are still to come. Every year our experience grows. We already have over 90 years of combined work experience in all facets of the Natural Stone Industry. Our outlook sees the use of Natural Stone increasing especially in commercial projects. The reliability and re-usability of natural stone as a premier construction material will be a prominent factor in specifying stone for all types of buildings in the coming decades.
Expansion
Xiamen China will continue to be the base of our operations. In the face of rising costs though CHS Stone has already prepared itself to look for other competitive sources of stone. We have been actively fabricating many projects in India since 2012. By 2020 we fully expect to be cutting stone projects in Vietnam, Brasil and Turkey. We will focus on quality as always while trying to be competitive in pricing for our customers.

Sustainability
This coming decade Sustainability will be a major focus of the Stone Industry. We are indeed lucky that granite, marble, limestone among all stone types are completely reuseable and even changeable in appearance and application. No other building material comes close to the versatility and utility of natural stone. A stone panel can be polished put on a buildings exterior and 100 years later be taken off the façade, flamed on the back side and made into a floor paver. 50 years later a new change of floor design the panels can be take up and be cut into mosaic tile pcs. This cannot be said of Synthetic quartz stone or any synthetic type stone that is not quarried but manufactured with many types of polluting components. After it’s initial use it will be discarded into the waste dump. USE NATURAL STONE!
